The Best of All Possible Worlds

I thought, at this late date (September 4, 2015), that perhaps I should provide a link to a blog I have over at blogspot so as not to deprive the world of my thoughts in that regard also (in addition to my music). I suppose that, as is typical for me, I may have an ironic intent in the title of the blog, "The Best of All Possible Worlds," much of my own potential having been wasted in conflict with destructive forces (external I propose) in this life, though I have accomplished much nonetheless. The problem of why there is evil in the world, i.e., why the world often appears to be the creation of a madman, I answer more as did Voltaire's Candide that it is doubtful that this is the best of all possible worlds and that, being quite unable to make sense of it, let us simply tend our gardens, metaphorically and otherwise. In the following link to my external blog, I do recommend my post on the nature of art ("Dialog on the Nature of Art"), which derived from a correspondence I had with a practicing artist from the Millennials/Generation Y cohort and "Why People Purchase Music and Other Observations," which was a conversation I held with a former musical colleague of mine and his lady some years back:
